Alsana Santa Barbara – Residential

Alsana Santa Barbara, just 1 of their 5 locations, is a residential facility whose primary objective is to help those suffering with eating disorders, such as Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa, and co-occurring disorders. Alsana abides by their 6 guiding principles to help their clients overcome their struggles, some of which include: be accountable, be lovingly direct, and put the client first. Alsana follows these guidelines to create a team that is highly passionate and driven to help those in who are suffering. They combine evidence-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement therapy (EMDR), and experiential therapy with a compassionate approach. Alsana also employs their Adaptive Care Model they created to help treat their clients in all areas of their lives, which is structured to promote healthy growth through medical treatment, nutrition, movement, relationships, and therapeutic programs. Right off the coast of the Pacific Ocean, Alsana Santa Barbara boasts a beautiful residential home. Featured inside the home is a large fireplace surrounded by a comfy, large sofa and chairs, used to do group meetings. They also have outdoor seating where clients can enjoy the warm weather. Alsana additionally has specialized programs including LGBTQ+, vegan friendly, and two week intensive plans. They are accredited by the Joint Commission and accept many forms of private insurance, too.
